Cosmopolitan Cairo Hotel

Description

The Cosmopolitan Hotel, commissioned by Swiss-born hotel manager Charles Albert Baehler and built by Italian architect Alphonse Sasso, was inaugurated in 1928 as the Metropolitan Hotel.

The hotel was Baehler’s last contribution to Cairo’s architectural landscape, following the creation of some of the city’s most beautiful hotels, apartment and office buildings, mansions, and shopping arcades.

The hotel offers 78 clean, air-conditioned rooms and 6 suites. All rooms are cozy, well-furnished, and equipped with a TV, telephone, mini-fridge, and private bathroom. Non-smoking rooms are available, and free wireless internet access is provided throughout the hotel.
